Technology Information for Presenters
All research and panel presentations will be held in various rooms in Carroll Hall, which houses the School of Journalism and Mass Communication on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Please see the detailed Colloquium schedule on this Web site for the room assignment for each research and panel session.
Each presentation room is equipped with a PC that operates using the Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system and is loaded with Microsoft Office 2007 including PowerPoint. Internet access also is available on the computers in these rooms. Each room is equipped with a projector and screen.
Presenters who plan to use PowerPoint should bring their presentation files on both a flash drive and CD-ROM including any multimedia files that are embedded in their presentation files. In addition, presenters also are recommended to have Internet access to any files that they need for their presentation as a means of back-up access. The rooms also are equipped with Elmo projection devices.
Particular questions regarding presentation technology should be directed to Michael Hoefges at
