His Girl Friday: Presented by the Carolina Club and Chapel Hill Historical Society

J-school alumni and friends are invited to Classic Movie Night in Chapel Hill this Friday, Nov. 13.

The Carolina Club and the Chapel Hill Historical Society are hosting the event, which includes a screening of "His Girl Friday" (starring Cary Grant) and a 3-course dinner. The cost is $25 per person.

UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication Dean Jean Folkerts will introduce the movie.

The reception begins at 6 p.m. The dinner and movie begin at 7 p.m.

"His Girl Friday" is a 1940 adaptation of the "The Front Page," a Broadway play that debuted in 1928. The movie is on the American Film Institute's list of best comedies.
