CABJ high school minority journalism workshopSaturday, February 23, 2013 The Carolina Association of Black Journalists (CABJ) and the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication will host a one-day journalism workshop for minority high school students on Saturday, Feb. 23, in Carroll Hall on the UNC campus. CABJ is a student collegiate chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and a student organization of the school. The purpose of the workshop is to give high school students exposure to the multifaceted field and study of journalism and mass communication. CABJ members will work collaboratively with participants throughout the day, and participants will also have the opportunity to meet UNC faculty and professionals to discuss writing skills and career opportunities. The application deadline for the Feb. 23 workshop is Feb. 8.
