WANTED: Knight Chair in Digital Advertising and Social Media
The Knight Chair in Digital Advertising and Social Media will be a leading expert in digital advertising, social media platforms and business strategies with a foundation in advertising theory and practice. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and teach existing advertising courses, including one dedicated to digital advertising and marketing.
The position includes funding for applied research support and a variety of teaching, research, outreach and travel opportunities. The successful candidate will be expected to reach out to an international and professional community with solid ideas about the future of digital advertising.
The chair will be a colleague of the Knight Chair in Journalism and Digital Media Economics at the UNC School of Media and Journalism. This professor focuses on the implications of the digital revolution for news organizations, information needs of communities and the emergence of news deserts in the United States.
