Visiting Professionals
Hearst Visiting Professionals Program
The school was one of only five in the nation originally selected by the William Randolph Hearst Foundation in 1990 to receive an endowment of $200,000 to bring in several mass-communication professionals each year to talk to classes and visit with students in small groups. Other schools were selected later.
Roy H. Park Distinguished Visiting Professorship
Funded by the Triad Foundation, the professorship allows the school to bring in a distinguished scholar each semester to teach at the graduate level and conduct additional research.
